Can the non-stick coating on the interior of a pan be made with organic pigments?

Recently, some customers have reported that the pigment red 254 is used in non-stick pan paint, and the phenomenon of red color precipitation will occur when white oil is heated for 200° in the pan, which makes people feel less assured. After the analysis of this problem by our technical department, it is concluded that this internal coating of non-stick pan is not suitable for organic pigments, and it is generally recommended to use inorganic pigments, especially metal composite pigments, which have a good application on non-stick pan coatings.

So why aren't organic pigments suitable for non-stick pan coatings? In fact, it is mainly because the molecular structure of organic pigments contains polar carbon chains, which is easy to form a chemical reaction with the surface of the pot body at high temperature of the coating, resulting in uneven coating thickness, affecting the adhesion and flatness of the coating, thus affecting the service life of the pot body. Inorganic pigments, because there is no polar carbon chain in the molecular structure, will not react with the surface of the pot.

As for metal composite pigments, their application on non-stick pan coatings is very successful. Metal composite pigment is a mixture of inorganic pigment and metal oxide powder, with good high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance, and bright color, good stability. During use, if the coating surface is worn, the pigment will not fall off, thus ensuring the beauty and durability of the coating.

In short, if your pot needs to use organic pigments, we recommend that you choose inorganic pigments with high temperature resistance and good oxidation resistance; If your pot needs to use metal composite pigments, we recommend that you choose bright colors and good stability products.
